DAYS FOCUSED ON INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY

Innovation experts and academic professors will discuss the challenges, technologies and projects that shape new markets, creating the conditions for preserving the environment and human health.

The first edition of the Taranto Innovation Summit will take place from 5 to 10 June 2023 at the Relais Histò, the event organized by Programma Sviluppo and which sees the Municipality of Taranto and the Jonico Department of the University of Bari among the Institutional Partners Aldo Moro.

Conceived with the aim of framing the issue of environmental sustainability through the lens of innovation, the Summit will see the participation of numerous innovation experts, representatives of the academic world, innovative companies and startups, as well as the involvement of international working groups of MISTRAL (Horizon Europe) and Calliope.

Understanding changes, enriching awareness, managing challenges. Taranto Innovation Summit analyzes the main innovation trends and their impact on the economic, social and environmental paradigm shift we are experiencing.

Taranto
Innovation Competition

During the Summit, the final of the Contest entitled “Taranto Innovation Competition” will take place. A challenge between some of the best startups which, on 7 and 8 June, will compete in a pitch session to present innovative projects and services in the fields of sustainability and One Health. The winner of the Contest will be awarded the title “Taranto Innovation Award” which will allow the validation of the service presented with the Municipality of Taranto or with one of the partners of the Innovation District.

Relais Histò is located in one of the most fascinating areas of the Taranto area, nestled between history and nature.

The event will take place inside the suggestive deconsecrated basilica, dating back to the 11th century AD. A choice that arises from the desire to combine history with an even better future.
